Ceremony

The mausoleum has become an emblem of national glory, and the Quaid is the great hero who led the nation to that glory. He is the undying hero: the Quaid is dead but the Quaid-e-Azam is alive. To that hero tributes are paid by the people of the country and by the dignitaries of state from other lands. Monarchs, Presidents and Prime Ministers of foreign countries, who have an occasion to come to Pakistan, place a wreath before the grave in full military ceremony and stand for a minute in silence to honour the dead.
