is an Urdu word meaning travelling companion. As we intend on working with you, our reader in partnership, we will with immense pride in our culture and heritage attempt to inspire, educate and entertain you with our eventful past and God-willing, a prosperous future.
Humsafar.info is a media spigot to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah's life. The objective is to remind especially the younger generation, but also the world at large, of his contribution to the history of Muslims of the Subcontinent.
During his lifetime, he brought the wisdom to walk in the path of honour, the courage to follow his convictions, and an abiding compassion for others. He enriched us all by the nobility of his spirit. Through earlier media - especially photographs and archival audio/video as well as the Quaid's speeches, we hope that this site will contribute in some way to reflecting the vision to which he devoted his life. Moreover the objective is to bring these long lost images from obscurity into the daylight of the web.
The other half of the website deals with the scenic beauty of the country and the diversity of its people and culture. Thus making this little known 'Land of the Shangri-La' accessible to a wide audience.
Humsafar.info is produced out of Copenhagen, Denmark. The site opened with a handful pages in early 2001 and has ever since been growing speedily. In January 2005 Humsafar.info was released in its present form.
